"this place sells you on safety until production is going south. high probability of breathing in harmful chemicals. Good pay with pretty terrible hours."

"My coworkers were great, the benefits were great. A con would be some people out in the field would complain to management about Accounts Payable before asking questions. Sometimes we had reasons for things that we did, usually instructed by auditors."

"Rayonier cares much more about production and productivity than it does about employees. Employees commonly work very long hours and over weekends and holidays. It is common for employees to be performing tasks and roles that would normally be handled by 2 or more individuals. Work/Life balance is non-existent. Not an enjoyable place to work."

"Management lies to employees constantly. You don't know who to trust or who to speak to. You're scolded for trying to point out obvious things that are safety concerns and need Improvement. They are unionized but the union is very weak. They recently adopted a new labor contract stating that all new hires will forfeit 20% of their starting salary for the first two years of employment. In exchange for that the existing members that have worked there for a good link. Of time gain a bonus week of vacation and sick leave each year. I don't agree with the policies in the way the corporation is ran as a whole."

"Not enough qualified skilled people who run this company. Especially in the Maintenance Department. Human resource department makes all decisions concerning the mill, from discipline to what amount of money can be spent on keeping equipment up to date and running properly and the cost to maintain a good operating plant. They are lacking man power in the maintenance department and refuse to hire new employees, especially when they have lost more than 50% of their employees to retirement. To many Chief's and not enough Indians as the saying goes."
